pre_rid.jpgPresident Mahinda Rajapakse assures that he will strive to eliminate corruption and waste in the country.

In his address at the ceremony to pay tribute to War Heroes on 22 May at the Parliamentary grounds, he said:

“We must eliminate corruption and waste from the country. We must track down those behind the drug peddlers and bootleggers.

“You must now be able to live in this country as you did 30 or 40 years ago. Today, you have won an incomparable battle and come to the position of greatness as a nation in the world. That nation should be adorned with discipline.”
