The National Integrity Award is presented to outstanding individuals and/ or organizations for demonstrating exceptional integrity in public engagement. The NIA is the signature event organized to commemorate the United Nations Anti -Corruption Day, which falls on 9th December, designated to ‘raise awareness of corruption and of the role of the United Nations Anti-Corruption Convention in combating and preventing it.’

TISL is conducting the NIA for the ninth successive year. TISL have so far recognized the courage of 15 individuals and one organization. Ten of them were winners and the others received ‘special mention’ awards .

Individuals and organizations are invited to nominate persons or organizations who have shown exemplary courage for the cause of integrity in the fight against corruption in any sector or sphere. The accepted nominations will go through a process of inspection and selection carried out by a panel comprising highly reputed and respected individuals.

TISL undertakes awareness, training and advocacy interventions on anti-corruption in association with the NIA programme throughout the year as part of the annual work plan.
