A Grama Niladhari from Kithulemada in the Meda Dumbara Divisional Secretariat area had been apprehended by the Bribery Commission Officials while allegedly soliciting a bribe of Rs.1500.
The Grama Niladhari was caught accepting a bribe to release a stock of logs to their owner after the Divisional Secretary deemed them illegal. The Bribery officials were conducting further inquiries into the incident.
