TISL conducted programme on Good Governance for senior officials of the Provincial council of Uva on 28th and 29th of July at Uva Management and Development Training Centre, Pelgahatenna, Badulla. Main objective of the programme was to support provincial public service in Uva to enhance their service delivery keeping with good governance practices. Workshop was conducted with the support of Mr. M.D.A Harold (Former Deputy Auditor General and Chairman, TISL), Mr. A.K Chandrakantha (Attorney-at-Law and Former Deputy Director General of Commission to investigate in to Allegations on or Corruption), Mr. S.G Punchihewa (Attorney-at-Law and a Human Rights Activist) and Mr. Rukshana Nanayakkara (Attorney-at-Law and Deputy Executive Director of TISL) as resource persons.
All Secretaries, including the Chief Secretary Mr. P.B Amarasekera, Heads of Departments, Directors of Education and senior officials of Uva Provincial Council were present in the workshop.
