Newly appointed staff members of the Department of Immigration and Emigration are undergoing a training programme on Good Governance conducted by TISL.
A series of programmes have been arranged at the request of the Department’s Training Division over a period of four weeks and is being held at the Agricultural Research and Training Institute (ARTI).
Under this programme 350 staff members will be trained on good governance, anti-corruption and financial integrity.
At the inaugural training programme a lecture on Corruption and its impact was delivered by Lakshmi Jayawickrema of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption. Dhanushka Wijekoon and Sadun Gunawardana of TISL’s Capacity Building Unit were the other resource persons.
Over the past three years, TISL has conducted several training programmes for staff members of the Department helping it to become the most respected government institution in Sri Lanka.
