BACKGROUND:
Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) is a National Chapter of Transparency International (TI), the leading global movement against corruption. As a local organization working towards combating corruption, TISL raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, public sector, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it. Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) advocates for transparency and accountability measures, striving towards an open, inclusive and equitable government and society that are committed to driving out corruption.
TISL is looking for dynamic and committed individual for the below position.
PROGRAM OFFICER – PRIVATE SECTOR
This position is expected to support initiatives with the private sector, starting and maintaining the anticorruption discourse with the private sector and formulating solutions that can then be incorporated into its practices.
CORE-RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the implementation of all activities and the achievement of results envisaged under the Strategic Plan involving private sector.
- Support to build and maintain strong relationships with private sector stakeholders including large conglomerates and Small and Medium Enterprises.
- Organize and conduct workshops, events, programs and outreach activities according to the program implementation plan, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Support in developing and implementing advocacy and communications campaigns.
- Assist the development and publishing of information, communication & education materials pertaining to the Private sector.
- Liaise with the line Manager to support fundraising initiatives, including providing input into project proposals.
- Study and be up‐to‐date on new developments related to private sector corruption.
- Collaborate with other teams and relevant sector stakeholders.
- Maintain a systematic and up to date record keeping, adhering to security protocols.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as business management , social sciences, law or governance.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Good understanding of governance sector in Sri Lanka.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of the anti-corruption and governance sector in Sri Lanka.
- Diplomacy and tactful negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English as well as Sinhalese or Tamil.
- Excellent skills in MS office.
