The seminar on the proposed constitutional amendment organized by the students of Colombo University was cancelled by the authorities of the university a few moments ago say reports.
The main speaker of the seminar that was to be held at the main auditorium of the Colombo University at 2.00 p.m. today was the Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP Parliamentarian Anura Dissanayake.
The students say they reserved the main auditorium of the University for the Seminar several days ago and the authorities had given them permission to have the seminar. They condemn the action of the authorities to arbitrarily cancel the seminar when all arrangements had already been made to hold it.
