Anti – Corruption Day Campaign Begins

Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) along with the Commission for Inquire in to  Allegation of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in Sri Lanka Yesterday began a poster, leaflet and sticker capaign to educate the masses on anti – corruption day activities.
This campaign is a prelude to the National event to be held in Independence Square to mark the United Nations Anti – Corruption day which falls on December 09th. Several civil society organaisations and trade unions too expressed willingness to join a special walk and an awareness programme which is being jointly organaised by TISL and CIABOC.
The walk and the awareness programme will be held under the patronage of the President Maithreepala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinge.
The walk will commence from the Viharamahadevi Park at 3pm and proceed to the Independence Square where a special awareness programme scheduled to begin at 4pm.
