Terms of Reference to design and carry out a program to enhance staff capacity on effective leadership and to build and strengthen an enabling organizational culture

Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) is a national chapter of Transparency International (TI), the leading global movement against corruption. TISL raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.

This Terms of Reference (TOR) refers to two segments of training: One on leadership training and the other on staff training for an enabling organizational culture.

TISL management team has 15 members including 4 senior members who form the Leadership Team that supports the Executive Director. Our objective of this training program is to provide critical insights on leadership and to facilitate the building of essential skills and know-how for effective leadership of the management team. TISL expects the consultant to design a proposal with a state-of-the-art course module for both options – physical interventions and online interventions.

Secondly, TISL seeks a training program aimed at nurturing and enhancing a positive organizational culture, among its close to 40 staff members including interns.  Developing effective teams, cultivating healthy attitudes towards one another, introducing creative methods / tools for interaction, time management ,  promoting the passion for the cause and creative thinking among the staff are examples of what is expected in this module. Here too, the consultant is expected to design a proposal that includes both physical and online training options.
