Principals and teachers of several schools in the North Western Province are perturbed that the Sinhala Language and Literature question papers of the Grade 9 Proficiency Test held by the Provincial Education Department were attached with the answers.
They pointed out that the answers for the Sinhala Language questions, a part of the Sinhala Literature questions, had been printed on the question paper itself.
The teachers said they refrained from issuing the question papers and as an alternative arrangement, dictated the questions to the students.
Meanwhile, a teacher of Kalpitiya Nirmala Matha Maha Vidyalaya said they found Sinhala Language question papers instead of Islam question papers causing much inconvenience to the students who appeared for the Islam question paper.
This compelled the teachers to prepare a question paper and hold the test.
