Susari Sevana the legal arm of the Transparency International Sri Lanka conducted another legal clinic in Galwalagodakanda community hall in Poddala with the participation of over 65 villagers on the 16th May 2015.
Rajika Wijethunge Southern Province coordinator of Legal Aid Commission and TISL’ Southern Provionce coordinator lawyer Thushani Kandilpana along with several lawyers conducted the clinic.
Most prominently featured grievance in the clinic was non issuance of land permits by the Land Reclamation Commission(LRC). Although the villagers have paid the dues to the Commission they have yet to receive the promised permits.
The Susari Sevena has taken a decision to take this matter up with the (LRC).
