For over ten years, Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) has worked closely with Sri Lanka’s journalistic community, recognizing the sector’s vital role in promoting good governance and its function as a message multiplier. TISL has conducted number of trainings to enhance the capacity of national and regional journalists in investigative journalism.
TISL has commenced another programme to train the journalist on Election Reporting with the support of world renowned media support agency Internews.
As part of the collaborative effort to promote best Election reporting in Sri Lanka, TISL together with Internews has developed a trainer’s manual exclusively for local journalists. These products, the first of its kind to be developed in Sri Lanka will help enhance professionalism among practitioners and prove invaluable to future trainers in journalism.
